Valyu Trace
For contact center leaders

Decide which improvements to build, and prove what they delivered.

Valyu Trace gives every channel team the same way to size an improvement, rank the backlog on one score, and check the result after go-live. It covers voice and IVR, chat, the agent desktop and more, so you can stop reconciling spreadsheets.

The Valyu Trace portfolio ranking: improvement ideas ranked by Priority score, with annual benefit, business value, urgency, risk and effort for each.

The portfolio ranking for a sample utility. All figures in these screens are fictional.

The problem

Every team sizes improvements its own way, and nobody checks what they delivered.

Numbers nobody can compare

The IVR team, the chat team and the desktop team each have a spreadsheet, a cost per call and their own assumptions. Finance can't tell which estimates to trust.

Ranking by meeting

Prioritization takes a full-day calibration session, and the loudest case often wins. The scores are rarely written down in a way anyone can revisit.

No look back

Once something ships, attention moves on. Nobody compares the result with the estimate, so next year's forecasts are no better than this year's.

The product

Three steps, one set of numbers.

Use each step on its own or all three together. Everything runs on your company's cost assumptions, so a voice idea and a chat idea are measured the same way.

01 · Assess

Size an idea in about ten minutes

Four short steps: basics, volumes, effort and timing, result. Each channel uses its own benefit model, and the result shows its full working.

  • Paste call volumes straight from your data source
  • Inputs that rely on a default or an estimate are flagged, with the reason
  • Payback is calculated net of ongoing costs
An assessment result: $443,520 a year for an IVR outage-status change, with the calculation shown line by line.
02 · Prioritize

Rank the backlog on one score

Each idea gets a Priority score: what waiting costs, divided by the effort to deliver. The parts are pre-filled from the assessment, with the reason shown, and your team can adjust them.

  • Rank across all channels or within each one
  • Approvers see where every number came from before they sign off
  • Approval locks the numbers as a version; later edits start a new one
The approver's review page: the benefit, Priority score, cost and payback, the assumption to check, and the source of every input.
03 · Validate

Check what actually delivered

After go-live, record results at 30, 60 and 90 days and at 12 months. Valyu Trace compares them with the approved version using the same formulas and cost assumptions.

  • On target, below target or missed, at a glance
  • Other changes in the window are recorded, so results aren't over-read
  • Forecast accuracy by channel shows where your defaults run high
Results after go-live: approved benefit compared with realized benefit for four live improvements.
How the numbers work

Numbers your finance partner can check.

No black box. Every figure traces back to an input, its source and a formula anyone can read.

Set once by your company

Cost per agent, calls per agent and build rates are set once by an admin and used everywhere. Analysts can't quietly change them for a single idea.

Assumptions are flagged

When a figure relies on a company default or an estimate, the result says so and shows what happens if it's wrong.

A familiar scoring method

The Priority score follows the WSJF method, on the scale your teams already use:

123581320

Works with any vendor

Valyu Trace doesn't sell IVR, chat or desktop software, so it has no stake in which idea wins.
